Pastor Joshua Johnson, a native of Alabama, has been wholeheartedly committed to his calling since he accepted Christ as a child. His  dedication extends to his family, as he and his wife, Ebony Miller, have been happily married since 2008 and are blessed with three wonderful children: Hannah, Nathan, and Sophia. This strong family bond is a testament to his personal values and the importance of family in his life.

In 2010, Joshua embraced the call to preach and served as a youth pastor under Pastor Reginal T. Webb in Tampa, FL for 12 remarkable years. This experience was instrumental in shaping his understanding of the church and its needs. During his time as a youth pastor, Joshua's dedication to learning was evident as he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s in Business (MBA) and Divinity (M.Div) from Liberty University.

In 2022, Joshua and his family sensed a deep calling to the Nashville area and took a leap of faith by moving there. After discerning confirmation, he accepted the role of Youth Pastor at Powell's Chapel and as a Financial Analyst at Ascend Federal Credit Union. Later, guided by his faith, he sought and secured the position of senior pastor at Southside Baptist Church, a testament to his growth and development in his career.

Pastor Joshua exemplifies unwavering dedication as he diligently serves his congregation and community. He treasures moments spent with his beloved wife and children. He has an overarching vision to cultivate a sense of harmony within Christ's body and forge deep and impactful connections with fellow churches and pastors.

Lori started as office assistant in 2018 and took over all secretarial duties in January 2023. She has four children, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was born in Michigan and has lived in Wisconsin, Florida, and California before moving to Tennessee. She is most comfortable in the kitchen. She likes to cook and bake and is sometimes referred to as the cupcake lady.
